NDC Bauchi Rejects Money Politics, Pushes Mass Mobilisation

By Ahmed Ahmed

The Bauchi State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to resist attempts by wealthy individuals to hijack its structure, reaffirming its ¹commitment to internal stability, inclusiveness, and credible leadership.

State Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Maigari Misau, made this known during the party’s maiden stakeholders’ meeting in Bauchi. He noted that the NDC remains free of litigation and internal crises—an achievement he described as a solid foundation for its growth.

Misau said the party is open to progressive-minded Nigerians committed t3yjtu6o national development and citizens’ welfare, stressing that th3d.edwzrdcchffftrh44je NDC aims to provide a credible alternative platform to address the country’s socio-economic challenges.

He called on party leaders across the 20 local government areas of the state to intensify grassroots mobilisation, particularly through aggressive membership registration.

According to him, public response has been encouraging, with many citizens expressing interest in joining the party as it positions itself as a strong opposition force.

“We are working towards mass mobilisation through membership registration, as more people continue to identify with our vision for a better Nigeria,” he said.

The chairman assured members and prospective aspirants of a level playing field, adding that the leadership has established mechanisms to prevent internal disputes and unnecessary litigation.

He urged citizens to place confidence in the party, reiterating its readiness to accommodate new members while promoting unity, transparency, and accountability.

Misau also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to strengthening internal democracy by ensuring transparent decision-making and encouraging active participation at all levels.

He emphasised that building trust within the party remains a top priority, noting that unity among members would be crucial in achieving its long-term political goals.

The chairman further advocated issue-based politics, urging members to focus on policies and programmes that directly impact citizens rather than engaging in divisive or personality-driven campaigns.

He added that the NDC is determined to redefine political engagement in Bauchi State by prioritising good governance, accountability, and sustainable development.
