Gombe State governor, Inuwa Yahaya, has inaugurated a newly constructed ultra-modern market in Ngalda, Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State built by the government of Yobe State.
Our correspondent reports that the newly built market named after Governor Inuwa by Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni was inaugurated on Tuesday.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Governor Inuwa Yahaya, described the market as a befitting business environment that would boost commerce in the state, adding that it would also promote cross-border trade and improve the economy of neighbouring communities.
He noted that naming the market after him reflects the brotherly relationship between the two states and their shared commitment to development.
Inuwa also donated the sum of N10 million to support the take off of the market.
In his speech, Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni, explained that the new market, located in Ngalda, is designed to serve as a modern trading centre that would boost business activities in the area.
He explained that the market would not only benefit traders but that farmers would find it easier to buy and sell agricultural produce and other goods.
The governor added that the market would strengthen inter-state cooperation, improve livelihoods and create more opportunities for business growth.
