APC Christian leaders endorse Abubakar for Bauchi guber, pledge voters mobilization

By Luka Yelmi

The Bauchi State chapter of the National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria (NACLFON) has endorsed former governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, SAN, for the 2027 governorship election and pledged to mobilize Christian voters for the All Progressives Congress.

Officials of the Forum made the pledge on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the APC candidate at his campaign office in Bauchi.

The delegation was led by Comrade M. S. Iliya, Director of the Barrister Aisha Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar Campaign Organization. NACLFON said it operates in all 36 states, the FCT, and across local government areas nationwide.

State Coordinator Apostle Daniel Yusuf Adamu said the meeting was convened to strengthen civic engagement and promote peaceful participation in the electoral process.

He noted that the Bauchi chapter has leadership structures and members in all 20 local government areas of the state.

“Every NACLFON member is first and foremost a card-carrying member of the APC, and must take an oath of allegiance to NACLFON before being formally registered into the Forum,” Apostle Adamu said.

“We don’t have two faces. We are APC, front and back.” He added.

Apostle Adamu further pledged the Forum’s loyalty to Abubakar, describing him as “our Excellent Daddy” over what he called the former governor’s commitment to the Christian community and inclusive governance.

“NACLFON will not just relate with him as His Excellency, but as our ‘Excellent Daddy,’ because of his love for the Christian community and his commitment to inclusive governance,” he said.

The Forum reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful, values-driven participation in the 2027 elections.

The meeting was chaired by Alhaji Burahi Doya and featured goodwill messages on unity, participation, and good governance.

NACLFON also acknowledged Barrister Aisha Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, whom members described as “our mother,” for her consistent support.

In his response, Abubakar thanked the delegation and described NACLFON as a critical stakeholder in fostering peace, unity, and development in Bauchi State.

“NACLFON, as a Christian support organization in Bauchi, is a critical stakeholder, and the M.A.-Faruk ticket-led government will definitely ensure inclusiveness in our administration,” the former governor said.
