Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has distributed 171 bulls, 222 rams, 3,462 bags of rice, and 504 jericans of groundnut oil to the christian community worth millions of Naira to enable them celebrate the 2025 Christmas with ease.
Speaking during the distribution ceremony at the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Chairman of the State Standing Committee on Christmas Gift Distribution, Abdon Dalla Gin, said the gifts are aimed at promoting peace and unity in the multi-ethnic state.
Mr. Gin explained that the food items were allocated to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and other beneficiaries, such as Christian functionaries, federal government officials, and military organizations.
He stated that Governor Mohammed's administration has made the gesture an annual policy, fostering a sense of belonging among residents.
Mr. Gin added that the Local Government Caretaker Committees also contributed to the effort.
The Special Adviser expressed appreciation to governor Bala Mohammed on behalf of the Christian community, for his benevolence and accommodating posture.
He also commended the governor for ensuring peaceful atmosphere across nooks and crannies of the state.
