Bauchi to Host North East Muslim Ummah Leadership Training

The State Chapter of Muslim Ummah of Nigeria in Bauchi is set to organize a 2025 two-day leadership training for Amirs and Secretaries from six states in the North East region. 

Speaking to journalists today ahead of the preparations in Bauchi, the Deputy Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Umar Ali, said the activity plan has already reached an advanced stage and is scheduled to hold on September 3rd to 5th, 2025, at the Sultan Sa'ad Abubakar Hajj Camp in the state capital city.

He said the aim of the training is to equip participants with the right knowledge about leadership roles and building relationships among members, with a view to improving, upgrading, and promoting all activities of Muslim Ummah Da'awa globally. He explained that over 350 participants are expected, including 2 Excos from 6 states and 10 representatives from 20 LGAs, as well as officials.

He further disclosed that only Jigawa State will participate in the event from the North Western part of the country. The LOC Chairman also informed journalists that some dignitaries have been invited to present papers at the event, including the Chief Imam of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) among others.

The Secretary of the LOC, Malam Dalha Hamid, said the media is expected to cover the event from the arrival of guests to the last day of the event, as well as conduct interviews with some dignitaries on the importance of the gathering.

Speaking on behalf of the journalists, Mal Ibrahim Malam Goje from Eagle Radio doubled as Dauctwelle correspondent thanked the LOC for organizing such an initiative and advised the inclusion of social media to achieve wider coverage. He also urged the LOC to hold regular meetings, especially quarterly, to keep the public informed about the Ummah's activities. 

Mu'azu Hardawa from Kindness Newspaper also encouraged the LOC to brief the media about the two-day event in the state to provide insight into the overall event.
