The Bauchi State Technical Working Group on Human Capital Development (HCD) initiative on Monday 16 June, 2025 has convened a meeting aimed at developing a comprehensive strategy document that will guide the implementation of the HCD program in the state.
The meeting brings together key stakeholders from health, education, WASH, agriculture, labour, child development and other critical sectors to plan and outline key steps towards harnessing the state's human capital potential.
HCD State Focal Person, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu (Ajiyan Ningi) said that the purpose of the TWG meeting was to articulate its plan on the development of the Strategy Document that is Bauchi State specific.
According to Alhaji Adamu, who also doubles as the Chief Economic Adviser to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, the strategy document will outline state specific objectives, interventions, and implementation plans to drive the HCD initiative success in Bauchi State.
He said that the TWG would soon convene a State wide meeting with key stakeholders with a view to cascading information on HCD across the State.
Adamu said that His Excellency Governor Bala Mohammed has given his full support in the activities of the HCD TWG.
"I want to say, without any fear of contradiction, that His Excellency, Governor Bala Mohammed has created the enabling environment for the successful implementation of the HCD program in the State.
"It is my firm belief that the HCD program will address most of the gaps in critical sectors like health, education, agriculture, labour, WASH, child development and other challenges in other critical social service sectors"
Our correspondent reports that the Human Capital Development initiative is expected to have a significant impact on the state's economic growth, poverty reduction, and overall development.
