Why Aminu Makko Should Represent Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye

By Muhammadu Abdullahi Bolari

As the 2027 elections approach, the people of Gombe, Kwami, and Funakaye Federal Constituency of Gombe State are presented with a golden opportunity to elect a leader who has consistently demonstrated a commitment to their welfare. Aminu Makko, a politician with a philanthropic mind, has been making waves in the constituency with his empowerment initiatives, and it is time for us to call on him to take the next step – to contest for the position of Member of the Federal House of Representatives.

Makko's track record speaks for itself. His job creation and skills acquisition programmes have trained over 3,000 women and youth, providing them with the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty and unemployment. His scholarship and bursary provisions have also enabled many less privileged and vulnerable individuals to further their studies, opening doors to new opportunities and a brighter future.

What sets Makko apart is his selfless approach to service. As John F. Kennedy once said, "You always think of what you can give to the state, not what the state will give you." Makko embodies this spirit, investing his time, resources, and energy into empowering the people of Gombe, Kwami, and Funakaye.

His timely and indiscriminate assistance has reached every nook and cranny of the constituency, demonstrating his commitment to serving the people without expectation of reward or recognition.

As a leader, Makko understands that the key to unlocking the potential of his people lies in providing them with a supportive environment and the opportunities they need to thrive. By creating jobs, acquiring skills, and providing access to education, he is helping to eradicate idleness, criminality, and unemployment – the very issues that plague many developing societies.

It is time for us to recognise Makko's efforts and encourage him to take the next step. We need leaders who are genuinely invested in the welfare of their people, and Makko's philanthropic approach makes him an ideal candidate for the position of Member of the Federal House of Representatives. Let us join hands and urge Aminu Makko to contest the 2027 elections and continue his good work at the national level. Together, we can build a brighter future for Gombe, Kwami, and Funakaye.
