FULL LIST: NUC accredits 17 courses at Sa'adu Zungur University



The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the accreditation of 17 courses at Sa'adu Zungur University (SAZU), Bauchi State.

According to the University's Public Relations Officer, Auwal Hassan, it is a milestone for the university and demonstrates the commitment of the Institution to academic excellence and quality education.

University regulatory body, NUC accredited courses across various faculties and departments —including Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Agriculture, Arabic, Human Physiology, Public Health, Anatomy, Law, Pharmacy, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Science Laboratory Technology, and Zoology.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Fatimah Tahir, said that the accreditation is a step toward achieving the university's mission and vision of academic excellence. 

She commended the Governor Bala Mohammed, for his commitment and support to the university.

Accredited Courses are; Accounting (Full), Business administration (Full), Public Administration (Full), Agriculture (Full), Arabic (Full), Human Physiology (Full), Public Health (Interim), Anatomy (Full), Law (Full), Pharm D (Interim), Botany (Full), Chemistry (Full), Mathematics (Full), Microbiology (Full), Physics (Full), Science Laboratory Technology (Full) and Zoology (Full).

Last November, NUC visited the University for accreditation exercise but wrote to the leadership recently over its outcome.

“This accreditation is seen as a major breakthrough for SAZU, enabling it to compete with its counterparts in the country. The University remains committed to providing quality education and producing graduates who can make a positive impact in society,” PRO said.
