The Bauchi State Police Command has reaffirmed its non-partisan stance and commitment to peaceful conduct of the 2027 general elections.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, gave the assurance when he hosted members of the Executive Directors Forum, Bauchi State, at the Command Headquarters on Yandoka Road, Bauchi.
CP Aliyu commended the Forum for its proactive and development-driven initiative and assured it of the Command's full support.
He reiterated that the Nigeria Police Force remains strictly non-partisan and committed to providing a level playing field for all actors, as well as ensuring peace before, during and after the elections.
The Commissioner added that the Command will continue to collaborate with genuine organisations, including CSOs, to effectively discharge its mandate.
Chairperson of the Forum, Mrs. Abigail Ardo, said the Forum - a platform of leaders of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in the state - is planning a non-partisan stakeholders' engagement initiative aimed at promoting informed, peaceful and issue-based dialogue.
Ardo said the initiative will focus on education, healthcare, youth development, women empowerment, child protection, poverty reduction, disability inclusion, social wellbeing, electoral observation and sensitisation against political violence.
