The Action Alliance (AA) governorship candidate in Bauchi State, Hon. Musa Zubairu, popularly known as Sarikin Bakan Lushi, has promised to place education and skills acquisition at the centre of his administration if elected governor in 2027.
Zubairu said education would account for about 60 per cent of his development agenda, stressing the need to review the current curriculum to meet modern realities and equip students with relevant skills.
Speaking in an interview with our correspondent in Bauchi, the candidate said improving access to quality education and vocational training would provide youths with sustainable opportunities and reduce dependence on temporary handouts.
He said his administration would focus on creating pathways for self-reliance through education, empowerment and employment initiatives.
According to him, his seven-point agenda also covers security, healthcare, economic development, infrastructure, support for community-based organisations and youth and women empowerment.
Zubairu maintained that meaningful investments in education remained critical to the overall development of Bauchi State and the future of its young population.
