45 Million Nigerians Quarterly Access Healthcare Services Under Tinubu, Says Minister Pate

No fewer than 45 million Nigerians are receiving healthcare services across the nation's healthcare facilities quarterly under the stewardship of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, according to the coordinating minister of health and social welfare, Prof. Mohammed Ali Pate.

The minister explained that the unprecedented feat is coming under the efforts of the federal government in collaboration with states in the drive to improve primary health care, invest in infrastructure, and equip them, provide commodities, build human resources and provide ambulances so that people would get services.

The minister was weekend in Bauchi flagging off the distribution of federal government intervention in comprehensive emergency obstetric and newborn care (CEmONC) equipment provision, held at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi.

He said, "Under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, more than 45 million Nigerians are getting services all over the country every quarter in visits. It because of these efforts that we are collectively doing together"

He added, "We in Bauchi state, of course, we have been privileged, the President's efforts in Bauchi have been much more than what you will see in many other places. So, on behalf of all of us here, I want to thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his great consideration of Bauchi state".

Prof. Mohammed Ali Pate further stated that since the inception of President Tinubu administration, Bauchi state has been enjoying a lot of progress because of his interest to support the state.

The minister revealed that Bauchi state has four federal health institutions, upgraded the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Azare, built the National VVF Center in Ningi, brought a new Federal Medical Center in Misau, and upgraded the teaching hospital in Bauchi.

Prof. Pate pointed out that the diagnostic center in Bauchi is one of its kind in the country, and the hospital is also joining hands with the state government to reboost primary healthcare, with more than 15 new revertilisation directly funded in partnership with the federal and state governments.

"Equipping the facilities, retraining the healthcare workers, thousands of healthcare workers have been trained in Bauchi because of the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, working with the state government".

Pate applauded the collaboration of the state government, traditional leaders, and assured the frontline health workers, the likes of doctors, nurses, midwives, specialists, among others, of continued support and appreciated the great works they were doing.

The contributing items to the state by the federal government are equipment, drugs and commodities to fifteen local government areas, twenty PHCs will receive commodities, twenty PHCs to receive equipment which are critical in healthcare delivery across the state.
