All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship aspirant in Bauchi state, Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti has vowed to actively participate in the state gubernatorial primary scheduled for Thursday, calling on supporters to massively participate in the Democratic journey.
He said, "We call on our teeming supporters across Bauchi State to come out massively, participate in this democratic journey peacefully, and conduct yourselves responsibly. Let us protect the unity, peace, and integrity of our great party and our state through lawful engagement and disciplined political conduct".
The APC Bauchi governorship aspirant who spoke through the Chief Executive Officer of Bala Wunti Support Organisation, Arc. Mukhtar Ahmed Jarmajo, said Thursday, 21st May represents a historic opportunity to make a decision that will shape the political and developmental trajectory of Bauchi state for years to come.
Mukhtar Ahmed Jarmajo was speaking Wednesday at a Joint Press Conference by the Support Groups of Dr Bala Maijama’a Wunti, held at NUJ Bauchi on Wednesday, where he urged supporters to vote for competence over sentiment, capacity over convenience, inclusiveness over division, and proven service over empty rhetoric.
The aspirant who also called upon the supporters to vote for a leader whose record of impact speaks louder than campaign promises, similarly asked security agencies, electoral officials, and all those involved to ensure a transparent, credible, free, and fair process to reflect the genuine will and aspirations of party members and delegates.
Dr. Bala Maijama'a Wunti also cautioned against any form of violence, political thuggery, intimidation, hate speech, or any conduct capable of undermining the peace, unity, and integrity of the APC during the exercise, appealing for political maturity, discipline, respect for democratic norms, and unwavering commitment to peaceful political engagement.
Arc Jarmajo further recalled that Dr Bala Wunti has supported several intervention programmes aimed at strengthening party unity, enhancing organisational capacity, and promoting effective engagement at various levels of the party structure.
According to him, Wunti's support has extended to critical moments when resources were needed to sustain party operations and ensure smooth political activities, saying these gestures, among many others, reflect a deep sense of loyalty, sacrifice, and commitment to the APC as a political family.
Jarmajo wants supporters of the governorship aspirant to remain calm, disciplined, law-abiding, and orderly throughout the primary election process scheduled for tomorrow, while demonstrating exceptional commitment to the ideals and progress of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
"Dr. Bala Maijama'a Wunti consistently supported the party’s structures and activities, not only in words but through tangible and impactful contributions. Notably, he provided 24 fully air-conditioned buses to facilitate the movement and mobilisation of party members across the state, thereby strengthening logistics, coordination."
