2027: Tinubu Aide's Son, Usman Darazo, Joins Darazo/Ganjuwa Reps Race

Arc. Usman Ya'u Darazo, son of Ya'u Darazo, Special Adviser on Political and Intergovernmental Affairs to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has officially accepted calls from stakeholders, youths, and political supporters to contest for the Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

A political associate, Khamis Musa Darazo, described him as a political thinker, grassroots mobilizer, and influential youth figure in Bauchi State.

He said the decision followed wide consultations and increasing pressure from constituents who believe Usman Ya'u Darazo has the leadership capacity and political experience to deliver effective representation.

According to him, the move signals the emergence of a new political movement focused on inclusive leadership, youth empowerment, and grassroots development across the constituency.

Khamis noted that Usman Ya'u Darazo is committed to advancing policies that will improve education, economic opportunities, infrastructure, and the overall welfare of the people of Darazo and Ganjuwa.

He also highlighted Usman's role during the build-up to the 2023 APC presidential primaries, where he actively mobilised support for President Tinubu, contributing to his emergence as the party's candidate.

The mobilisation efforts, he added, extended into the 2023 general elections, where Usman Ya'u Darazo and other loyalists worked in support of the Renewed Hope agenda, which culminated in Tinubu's victory at the polls.

Khamis further revealed that the aspiration has already gained strong backing from youths, elders, and key political stakeholders across the constituency, describing Usman as a leader with the vision, capacity, and grassroots connection needed to provide purposeful representation.

He added that endorsements from various communities in Darazo and Ganjuwa reflect growing confidence in his ability to attract meaningful development to the constituency.
