Dr. Bello Maigari has formally accepted the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus arrangement that produced Dr. Jamilu Ishiyaku Gwamna as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Gombe State.
In a statement, Maigari said he embraced the decision with a deep sense of responsibility, gratitude, and commitment to the unity and progress of the party.
According to him, the consensus emerged after extensive consultations among party leaders and stakeholders in the state, in collaboration with Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya.
Maigari declared his full alignment with the decision, describing it as a reflection of the party’s internal democracy, dialogue, and collective wisdom.
He commended the APC leadership in Gombe State for promoting unity, stability, and cohesion, noting that consensus remains a vital democratic tool for resolving differences and strengthening the party ahead of elections.
He called on his supporters and political associates across the state to rally behind Gwamna and all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
"Our strength lies in our unity, and our success depends on our ability to work together with a shared vision," he said.
Maigari also appealed to other aspirants who may feel dissatisfied with the outcome to accept the decision in good faith, stressing the need to prioritize the party’s collective interest above personal ambitions.
He reaffirmed his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his commitment to advancing the APC’s progressive agenda at both state and national levels.
The former aspirant further urged party members to remain united, focused, and determined as they work towards victory in the 2027 elections and the delivery of good governance and sustainable development in Gombe State.
