The leadership of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) has invited Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, and his supporters to join its ranks following his reported plans to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Amb. Khalid Arewa, the ZLP described itself as the most suitable platform for the governor and his loyalists, citing its established structure across Bauchi State.
The party noted that it maintains functional offices in all 20 local government areas and across political wards in the state, a development it said would ensure seamless integration for the governor and his supporters.
Arewa further assured that the ZLP leadership is willing to hand over its existing structures to Governor Mohammed upon his defection, emphasizing that all his followers would be fully accommodated within the party.
He added that the ZLP remains committed to supporting the governor in achieving his political ambitions should he decide to join the party.
The party also commended Governor Mohammed for what it described as a bold move to exit the PDP, which it said has been plagued by a prolonged leadership crisis.
