The Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO) has unveiled the BWSO Youth UpSkill Webinar Series, a monthly capacity-building initiative aimed at equipping young people in Bauchi State and beyond with relevant skills, knowledge and career opportunities.
The programme, which is scheduled to commence at the end of September 2026, is designed to strengthen the skills, confidence and professional capacity of young people through practical training, expert guidance and exposure to opportunities.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Public Relations Officer of BWSO, Kamal Ibrahim, said the initiative was part of the organisation’s commitment to youth empowerment, education, leadership development and human capital investment.
According to him, the Youth UpSkill Webinar Series will provide a sustained platform for young people to acquire practical knowledge and professional guidance from qualified experts and resource persons.
He said registered BWSO members would be prioritised for participation, while other eligible young people would also have opportunities to benefit from the programme.
Kamal said the webinar series would cover key areas including professional CV development, scholarships and international fellowships, career development, entrepreneurship, digital skills, social media content creation, professional communication and graduation preparation, among other relevant topics.
He explained that participation would require structured online registration, adding that selected participants would receive confirmation, webinar access details, training instructions and other relevant materials ahead of each session.
"Details of each webinar edition will be communicated to the public through approved BWSO communication channels," he said.
Kamal added that beyond skills acquisition, the initiative was expected to improve participants’ employability, digital competence, career preparedness and ability to identify and pursue legitimate opportunities.
He therefore urged eligible young people to follow the organisation's approved communication channels for registration announcements and information on upcoming sessions as the programme commences at the end of September 2026.
