Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama has distributed essential food items and cash worth millions of naira to residents of Lame State Constituency in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State as Ramadan palliatives.
The distribution, which took place on Sunday, saw beneficiaries receive 100 bags of 10kg rice, 150 bags of 5kg rice, and 350 clothes, mostly for orphanages and other vulnerable members of the community.
Rahama also donated N1 million in cash to support constituents as part of the Ramadan charity initiative.
The newly elected All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman of Toro Local Government, Comrade Idris Musa Matawai, flagged off the distribution and described the gesture as timely and commendable.
Matawai praised Rahama’s generosity, noting that the support came at a crucial time when many families face economic hardship.
The event attracted party leaders, women and youth groups, and members of the Rahama community, demonstrating the strong support and admiration the community has for Rahama.
Matawai also commended Rahama’s efforts in promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among the people of Lame Constituency. He urged residents to continue supporting the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC government.
In his remarks, Rahama thanked the people of Lame Constituency for their continued support and prayers. He assured them of his commitment to their welfare and development.
“I will continue to work tirelessly to address the concerns of our people and improve their living standards,” he said.
Stakeholders at the event offered prayers and goodwill messages, describing Rahama as a dedicated leader and philanthropist.
The distribution of food items and cash brought relief and joy to many beneficiaries, particularly vulnerable members of the community.
