The First Lady of Bauchi State, Dr. Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed (Sarauniyar Bauchi), has hosted a Christmas Dinner and Gifts Presentation for Christian political appointees and wives of key government officials across the state.
The event brought together Christian women serving in various political and leadership capacities, including wives of commissioners, members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, and local government chairmen. The gathering was marked by an atmosphere of unity, appreciation, and mutual respect.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed urged the women to continue praying for Bauchi State and Nigeria as a whole, stressing that peace, unity, and collective responsibility remain essential for sustainable development and nation-building.
She also emphasised the critical role of parents in shaping the future of society, calling for increased attention to the upbringing of children.
According to her, good behavior, quality education, moral discipline, and strong values are fundamental to raising responsible and visionary leaders.
The First Lady further encouraged the women to embrace self-awareness, discipline, and dedication to service, urging them to remain positive role models within their families, workplaces, and communities.
In their separate remarks, Christian women in political positions expressed deep appreciation to the First Lady for her inclusive leadership and continued support.
They commended her commitment to religious harmony and women’s empowerment, pledging their loyalty and support to her initiatives and to the administration of Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed in promoting development and good governance in the state.
The event underscored the First Lady’s commitment to fostering interfaith harmony, strengthening women’s participation in governance, and promoting sustainable development in Bauchi State.
