New Boys' Brigade officials pledge commitment, quality leadership

The Boys Brigade(BB), Bauchi Battalion Council has elected new executives with Mr. Andrew Sunday emerging as the chairman for his unwavering commitment and leadership within the council.

The new executive officers of the Battalion Council include: Mr. Samuel Ojo Ajayi,Vice Chairman; Mr. Stephen Mbobala Timothy, Secretary; Lumi Haruna Mbidur, Assistant Secretary and Sylvester Wesley, Financial Secretary.

Others are Keziah A. Kolongs, Treasurer; Moses Ademola,PRO1 and Okechukwu Okere, PRO2.

In an interview shortly after the election which was peaceful, smooth and fair, the new chairman, Mr. Andrew Sunday said the election was a new dispensation and the beginning of an era that would transform the Boys' Brigade in the Battalion Council.

According to him, “I promise to work for the upliftment of the Boys’ Brigade, Nigeria, Bauchi Battalion Council and to support the Bauchi State Council in the upbringing of boys spiritually, morally, financially and to do all within my power to help and encourage officers in their task of advancing Christ’s kingdom among boys.” 

Earlier, in his address to the officers and boys before the election, the President Boys' Brigade, Bauchi State, Elder Gibson J. Godobe stated that his administration remains committed to supporting the Boys Brigade and its mission to nurture the younger generation to become future leaders.

While emphasising on the need for the officers and boys to imbibe the spirit of discipline and morality at all times, the President assured of his continuous support towards the growth and development of the organisation in the state.

According to him, "I want to assure you that we will continue to support you. We acknowledge your efforts thus far. We will lend a hand of support directly or indirectly so you can continue to do that job you have been doing selflessly. Please Imbibe the spirit of discipline at all times, always ".

In his remarks while congratulating members of the new executive, chairman, Council of Patrons, Bauchi Battalion Council, Special Apostle Segun Awofadeji expressed confident that under Andrew Sunday’s watch, the Boys' Brigade will continually grow in stature and influence, building on the organisation's remarkable heritage.

Awofadeji then congratulated the new executive on their well deserved victory at the poll, admonishing them to serve in humility and lift others along with them. 

The new officers have since been sworn - in to drive the affairs of the organisation for the next three years.
