Politicians, others urge Bala Wunti to join APC, contest 2027 governorship seat

A group of Bauchi State Concerned Citizens of like minds, comprising prominent politicians from the 20 local government areas of the state, religious leaders, professionals in various fields, women and youth groups, artisans, highly respected individuals and the physically challenged have called on Dr. Bala Maijama'a Wunti to join the All Progressive Congress (APC) and answer calls to declare interest in the 2027 governorship election in the State.

An elder of the organizing committee, Alhaji Ladan Bello, who address journalists Sunday during the the groups meeting and interacting session on the need to call on Dr Bala Maijama'a Wunti to come and contest the seat of Bauchi state Governorship come 2027 under the auspices of the APC.

Bello explained, "Before arriving at this decision, a number of considerations and consultations regarding Dr. Bala's attitude, humility, wealth of experience, level headedness, and philanthropy were brought to bear. Moreso, his passion for qualitative education, improved health care services, agriculture and security among others were also considered."

Bello said that the forum resolved that Dr. Bala Maijama'a Wunti should, as a matter of urgency, answer the overwhelming call of good people of Bauchi state to come and contest the seat of governorship of the state.

Bello emphasized that Dr. Bala should contest under the auspices of the All Progressives Congress (APC), " Dr. Bala should agree to come and salvage the state by contributing his quota in addressing the problems in education, health, agriculture and economy."

Bello further stressed that, it is the general opinion of the forum that Dr. Bala is the most qualified and capable person to address the problems bedeviling the state.

Bello noted that it is the forum's sincere hope and prayer that Dr. Bala will not fail to answer this call to address the yearnings and aspirations of the majority of Bauchi state citizens.
