Ekiti APC elders endorse Tinubu, Oyebanji for second term

President Bola Tinubu and Oyebanji

Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ekiti State have endorsed the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji for a second term in office.

Speaking on behalf of the elders, a former Deputy Governor of the State and leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Surveyor Abiodun Aluko has confirmed that the emergence of President Bola Tinubu as President saved Nigeria from total collapse.

Aluko who spoke during a press briefing in Ado Ekiti, explained that some of the policies and programmes of the President including the fuel subsidy removal, student loan, tax reforms among others were the saving grace for the country considering the level of damages done by successive governments especially under the PDP administrations.

The APC chieftain explained that, just like President Tinubu, Governor Oyebanji of Ekiti State has also shown a rare leadership style that promotes good governance, respect for leaders, inclusiveness and infrastructure development in the state.

Surveyor Aluko noted that in view of the outstanding achievements of the duo, the party stakeholders have decided to publicly endorse them for a second term in office so that they can continue with the good work.

The endorsement according to him has been scheduled for 23rd of July 2025 at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, New IYIN Road, Ado Ekiti.

Surveyor Aluko confirmed that the endorsement of BAO was out of personal conviction by the stakeholders, going by his outstanding performance and impactful leadership, saying those of them championing the course can not be bought as speculated.

He said Oyebanji had lived up to the expectations of the people, hence he should be supported so that Ekiti would continue to witness better progress.

The APC chieftain clarified that no one is by the endorsement disallowed from contesting the primaries but expressed hope that such persons would fail woefully.
