The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has presented MANCAP Certification Awards to 11 manufacturing companies in Bauchi State.
The certificates were presented to the companies in recognition of their commitment to producing high-quality products that meet the requirements of the Nigeria Industrial Standard (NIS).
The Director-General of SON, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke, represented by the North East Region Director of Operations, Danlami Yakzum, said the MANCAP Certification is a mandatory requirement that ensures products undergo rigorous audit and testing processes.
The SON official warned that any violation of product certification terms and conditions would attract serious consequences, including seizure and destruction of products, suspension, or withdrawal of certificates.
The Zonal Manager, Abubakar Bichi, said 11 manufacturers in Bauchi State have secured the certification in 2025, while the Head of Regional Lab, Eng. Hauwa Usaini, urged the recipients to maintain standards in their production.
In responding on behalf of the recipient's, the Managing Director of Haske Modern Bakery, Muhammad Yusuf, thanked SON management and assured that his company would maintain standards in its productions, in line with SON guidelines.
Other highlights of the event was a presentation of the awards certificates and group photographs.
