A cluster of Civil Society Organisations under the ‘Health System Strengthening Clusters in Bauchi state has sensitise government on the need for creating budget line for the integrated supportive supervision (ISS) to boost health outcomes in the state
Mr Shuaibu Kobi, the Lead Programme Manager, Bauchi State Network of Civil Society Organizations (BASNEC), stated this on Wednesday in Bauchi at a town hall meeting for stakeholders
He stressed the need for the Bauchi state government to sustain budgetary provision for Integrated Supportive Supervision (ISS) to enhance the healthcare service delivery in the state.
“We are advocating for budget line that will capture ISS to enhance and support in improving health sector especially the primary healthcare
“That would check high rate of maternal and mortality rate,malnutrition, antenatal care among others
“We also advocated to private sectors to support and contribute with the necessary facilities to help the primary healthcare service delivery effective to the citizens,” he said
On his part, Mr Jinjiri Garba,
The chairman Bauchi State Network of Civil society organization (BASNEC) reiterated the commitment of CSOs towards strengthening the integrated supportive supervision ISS in the state.
“As a cluster we advocate for better governance and build bridges for mutual partnership to support sustainable development within the state.
“CSO will keep on striving to see that government adhere to the provision of sustainability health care delivery in the state
“ We are citizens voice and we will keep on advocating for policies and governance that influence good health care delivery system in the State
Mr Jinjiri further said their advocacy has paved way for supportive supervision that couldn't be navigated and as well the budget line for ISS was created.
