Dahiru Bauchi lauds Foundation's partnership with Azhar University Cairo

A renown Islamic Scholar Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi has explained that the partnership between Sheikh Dahiru Dahiru Bauchi Foundation with Al-Azhar University Cairo on the training of teachers, students and muslims community is beneficial to the society.

Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi said this in Bauchi on Monday at the graduation ceremony of three months of special intensive training organized by the Foundation for 85 Qur'anic school teachers in Arabic and Islamic Studies.

Represented by the Deputy Chairman Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Foundation Sayyadi Tijjani Sheikh Dahiru, the scholar said Al-Azhar is one of the World’s oldest universities, and is a leading centre for Arabic Literature and Islamic Studies as well as a point of reference for Muslims around the world seeking guidance on faith issues.

He said many officials of the foundation graduated from the varsity and thousands of Muslims scholars benefitted with good islamic knowledge of AlAzhar which they are propagating Islamic knowledge all over the World.

Sheikh Dahiru advised the participants to make the best use of what they have learnt for the development of the society.
He advised the clerics and his disciples to intensify effort in seeking for Islamic religious knowledge.

He commended the scholars from Al Azhar University Cairo that educated the Qur'anic and prayed to Allah to reward them abundantly. 

Director General of Education Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation, Sayyadi Aliyu Sise Sheikh Dahiru said for the last 30 years Al Azhar University Cairo have been sending teachers to teach in Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Schools.

Sayyadi Aliyu said participants were educated in the areas of Arabic Language, Qur'an, Tajweed, Fiqh and other Islamic subjects. 

The Director General said the training course which was carried out by scholars from Al-Azhar University Cairo was organised to improve in speaking Arabic Language and to deepen their knowledge in all Islamic studies subjects.

He said the Special Training session was free, but it was sponsored by Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation and the Foundation will continue to organize special training to their teachers and other Muslims faithfuls.

Many of the participants interviewed said that the special training is really an exercise in self-learning. It provided them as participants with an opportunity to develop their ideas teaching and learning Islamic knowledge by asking them to answer difficult questions that they might not have had to deal with before. It is an opportunity to step outside themselves and re-evaluate their views and opinions.

They described their experience as “eye opening” and as one which revealed to them the “breadth of Islam” and expressed their appreciation to the foundation. Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi donated a copy of the Holy Quran to each participant and certificates were issued to them.
