The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), sympathizes with and condoled the family of late Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau, the National President of National Council of Women Societies (NCWS)
This was contained in a statement signed by Aisha Ibrahim, the National Chairperson and Wasilah Ladan, National Secretary of NAWOJ.
It stated that until her death Hajiya Lami was known to be a strong woman who fought for the rights of the womenfolk with a mission to empower women across the nation and make them highly productive in different areas of human endeavors.
The Late Hajiya Lami mobilised and educated women in different skills and served humanity during her lifetime.
“We will always remember her as a hero and champion great achievements in the lives of many,” NAWOJ said.
The Body of the Late Hajia Lau was laid to rest according to Islamic rites. NAWOJ prayed for the repose of her gentle soul and Jannatul Firdausi and Grace for the family to have the fortitude to bear the loss.
