The Member of the House of Representatives representing Darazo-Ganjuwa Federal Constituency of Bauchi State, Hon. Mansur Manu Soro, has been commended for what a constituent described as impactful and purposeful representation that has contributed to development across the constituency.
The commendation was contained in an open letter of appreciation addressed to the lawmaker by a constituent, Auwal Usman Sade of Sade District, Darazo Local Government Area, dated September 25, 2026.
In the letter, Usman described Soro as the “best House of Representatives member in the history of Darazo-Ganjuwa Federal Constituency,” citing various educational, healthcare and agricultural interventions attributed to the lawmaker.
He wrote: “You are the best House of Representatives Member in the history of Darazo-Ganjuwa Federal Constituency. I, Auwal Usman Sade, a proud son of Sade, write this with joy to declare what we all in Darazo and Ganjuwa already know — that you, Hon. Mansur Manu Soro, remain the best representative we have ever produced since 1999.”
According to him, Soro had distinguished himself by establishing projects and institutions which, he said, would continue to benefit constituents beyond his tenure.
“While others came and went without a legacy, you came and built institutions that will outlive us. We are really grateful for that,” he stated.
On education, Usman said the lawmaker facilitated the establishment of five schools, including gifted schools in Sade, Soro, Darazo and Kafin Madaki, as well as a special school in Lanzai.
He said the schools had provided children in the constituency with access to education at no cost.
The constituent also highlighted Soro’s contribution to higher education, saying the lawmaker facilitated the establishment of a National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) study centre in Soro and awarded scholarships to 200 sons and daughters of the constituency.
He added that he was personally among the beneficiaries of the lawmaker’s educational support, including a scholarship to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
On healthcare, Usman said Soro facilitated the construction of four paediatric hospitals in Sade, Soro, Gabarin and Miya, which he said were aimed at improving healthcare services for mothers and children.
He also commended the lawmaker’s agricultural intervention, particularly the provision of DAGACOM solar-powered irrigation pumps to dry-season farmers at subsidised rates.
Usman further stated that Soro had achieved significant development within his four years in office, compared with what he described as the longer period covered by previous representatives of the constituency.
“Hon. Sir, for over 20 years of this constituency, no representative has done what you did in just four years. You did not eat our money, you invested it in us,” he wrote.
He noted that Soro had announced his decision not to contest the 2027 election, but said his contributions had already secured a place for him in the history of the constituency.
“Even as you have announced not to contest in 2027, your name is already written in gold in the history of Darazo/Ganjuwa,” Usman stated.
He concluded by expressing appreciation on behalf of students and youths of Sade District, saying the lawmaker had established a standard that would be difficult for future representatives to surpass.
“On behalf of all students and youths of Sade District, I say thank you. You have set a standard that will be very difficult for anyone coming after you to meet. May Allah bless and reward you abundantly,” he added.
