NIOB Bauchi Elects New Executive, Koli Emerges Chairman

The Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB), Bauchi State Chapter, has elected a new Executive Committee to pilot the affairs of the chapter, with Bldr. Mubarak Abdullahi Koli, MNIOB, emerging as chairman.

The new leadership was elected during the chapter's Congress Meeting held yesterday at the NIOB Secretariat, Federal Secretariat, Bauchi.

The election followed a resolution reached at the previous Congress Meeting on July 24, 2026, to reconvene after one week to conclude deliberations on issues relating to the leadership of the chapter.

At the meeting, members unanimously approved the dissolution of the outgoing Executive Committee before nominating and confirming new officers in accordance with the Constitution of the Nigerian Institute of Building.

The election was supervised by the Institute's National Representative, Bldr. Kandi Chingle, who also serves as national treasurer, to ensure that the process was transparent, credible and conducted in line with the institute's constitutional provisions.

After taking the oath of office, the newly elected chairman, Bldr. Mubarak Abdullahi Koli, thanked members for the confidence reposed in him and the new executive. He pledged to provide purposeful, inclusive and visionary leadership while working closely with members to advance the growth and development of the Bauchi State Chapter.

In his farewell remarks, the immediate past chairman, Bldr. Yusuf Zailani, expressed appreciation to members for the opportunity to serve the chapter. He urged them to extend the same level of support and cooperation to the new executive to enable it to effectively discharge its responsibilities and move the chapter to greater heights.

The newly inaugurated Executive Committee comprises Bldr. Mubarak Abdullahi Koli as chairman, Bldr. Saifuddeen Sani Wunti as Vice Chairman, Bldr. Nura Ahmad Tijjani as Secretary General, Bldr. Tasi'u Alhaji Ibrahim as Financial Secretary, Bldr. Shafi'u Yarima as Treasurer, Bldr. Yakubu Elijah Angyati as Public Relations Officer, and Bldr. Basiru Ibrahim as Assistant Secretary General.

Members of the Congress congratulated the new executive and expressed confidence in its ability to provide transparent, effective and progressive leadership. 

They also prayed for Allah (SWT) to grant the leadership wisdom, strength and integrity as it steers the affairs of the Bauchi State Chapter to greater achievements.
