The Bauchi Forward Initiative (BFI) has said it is seeking a political leader in the 2027 elections with a strong commitment to justice, truth, compassion and the development of the people of Bauchi State.
Chairman of the initiative, Muhammad Bello Abdulkadir, stated this while speaking at a gathering in Bauchi, where he outlined the group’s expectations ahead of its political activities.
Abdulkadir said the initiative was interested in supporting a leader whose primary objective would be to improve the living conditions of the people and provide purposeful leadership.
He explained that those who closely interact with the individual being supported by the initiative would understand that the ambition to govern the state was motivated by a desire to serve and improve the lives of the people.
The BFI chairman expressed appreciation to political leaders and other stakeholders for their support, particularly the Minister and his representative, Baffa and his representative, as well as the state governor and his representative.
He also thanked journalists for their role in communicating the group’s activities and political objectives to the public.
Abdulkadir appealed for logistical support, including a minimum of three vehicles in each local government area, to facilitate the initiative’s mobilisation efforts and participation in political gatherings.
He urged youths across the state to conduct themselves responsibly during political activities, saying politics should not be reduced to insults, abuse or personal attacks.
“Politics has no permanent season,” he said, urging young people to preserve mutual respect despite political differences.
He used the medium and urged youths in Bauchi State to embrace responsible political participation and avoid insults, abuse and character assassination.
Abdulkadir made the call while addressing a gathering in Bauchi, stressing the need for political actors to conduct their activities with maturity and respect for one another.
He said political differences should not lead to the destruction of relationships, noting that political circumstances could change at any time.
According to him, young people have an important role to play in shaping the political future of the state and should therefore participate in politics with dignity and a sense of responsibility.
The BFI chairman also disclosed that the initiative was mobilising support for a political leadership it believes would be just, compassionate, committed to truth and focused on improving the lives of the people.
He expressed gratitude to political leaders and stakeholders who had supported the initiative, including the Minister and his representative, Baffa and his representative, as well as the Bauchi State Governor and his representative.
He equally commended journalists for helping to publicise the group’s activities.
Abdulkadir further appealed to supporters to provide at least three vehicles in each local government area to assist the initiative’s mobilisation and campaign activities.
He said the vehicles would help facilitate movement and participation in political gatherings as the initiative expands its activities across the state.
Others who spoke at the event also expressed optimism that the APC would emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential and gubernatorial elections, as well as in all other elective posts in the state.
