...Youths Circle Backs Aspiration
A new twist has emerged in the race for the 2027 governorship ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State as Dr. YY Abdullahi has formally declared his interest and returned his expression of interest and nomination forms.
The development comes amid increasing political consultations and alignments across the state ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
In a related development, the Bauchi Youth Discussion Cycle, under the chairmanship of Lipsa Daniel, PhD, has officially endorsed Dr. YY Abdullahi, popularly known as Sarkin Shanun Bauchi, as its preferred aspirant for the governorship race.
Speaking with journalists in Bauchi on Monday, the chairman of the group, Lipsa Daniel, said the decision to adopt YY Abdullahi followed extensive consultations with youths, community stakeholders, and political actors across the state.
According to him, Bauchi State is at a critical point in its political journey and requires purposeful leadership capable of restoring public confidence and delivering meaningful development.
“We believe that as the political atmosphere in Bauchi continues to take shape, if the people truly desire a man of dedication, competence, integrity, and compassion, then Dr. YY Abdullahi remains the answer to the dream of a new Bauchi State,” he said.
The group described YY Abdullahi as an experienced public servant, visionary leader, and advocate of youth empowerment and societal development.
It added that his humility, accessibility, and passion for humanity distinguish him as a leader capable of moving the state forward.
The Bauchi Youth Discussion Cycle stressed that the future of the state should be entrusted to leaders with proven character, administrative experience, and genuine concern for the welfare of the people.
According to the group, many youths across the state now see YY Abdullahi as a unifying figure capable of improving infrastructure, strengthening education, supporting local businesses, empowering young people, and promoting peace and harmony across communities regardless of tribe, religion, or political affiliation.
Lipsa Daniel further stated that the emergence of YY Abdullahi has continued to inspire hope among many citizens due to his calm disposition, listening ear, and commitment to development-oriented leadership.
The organization therefore called on youths, women, elders, and political stakeholders across Bauchi State to support the aspiration of Dr. YY Abdullahi in the build-up to the 2027 governorship election.
The group concluded that as political activities intensify ahead of 2027, the demand for credible and people-oriented leadership in Bauchi State continues to grow louder.
