Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed on Tuesday has said that he has not "moved" from his political party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to other but there has been speculation that he has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mohammed said this at the Government House while coming out of Banquet Hall after swearing-in newly appointed permanent secretaries in the state. In an attempt to hear from the Governor about the rumoured defection, Bala Mohammed simply said “pressmen, no interview for now, I will speak with Channels Television at 7pm.
“I am now an international figure in politics now, I don't want to domesticate myself, I will address this later today. I have not moved, they said that I have defected,” he said while he proceeded to his office.
Mohammed, the Chairman of the PDP governors’ forum, left with his Oyo State counterpart, Seyi Makinde after defection of Dauda Lawal of (Zamfara), Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Agbu Kefas (Taraba), Umo Eno (Akwa Ibom), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Peter Mbah (Enugu), Douye Diri (Bayelsa), Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers).
