The Boys' Brigade Nigeria, Bauchi Battalion Council has conferred Honorary Awards of Excellence on 12 of its patrons in recognition of their unwavering commitment, selfless service and outstanding contributions toward the growth and development of the organization in the state.
In his remarks during the presentation of the awards at a special ceremony held at the United Evangelical Church, Bauchi on Saturday, the State President of the organisation, Elder Gibson J. Godobe commended the recipients for their exemplary leadership, consistency, and passion for the growth and development of the organisation in the state.
Godobe, who is also a recipient of the award, while expressing his appreciation on behalf of other recipients, described the honour as both a call to duty,more commitment and a reminder of the enduring values of mentorship, discipline, and faith.
The state President of the Boys’ Brigade also praised the Bauchi Battalion Council for embodying the organisation’s core principles of peace and discipline, qualities that earned the Battalion Council recognition at the national level.
In his charge at the occasion, Reverend Jacob Musa, the Minister of God in - charge of United Evangelical Church, Bauchi enjoined the Boys' Brigade to be true Soldiers of Christ "so that anywhere you are, you make the difference.
According to him, "Boys' Brigade, I want you to go out there and conquer the world for Jesus Christ. And while you are passing through your training, have Christ in your mind, in your spirit ".
The cleric then pledged his commitment to supporting the Boys’ Brigade, emphasising its vital role in fostering peace, love,confidence and integrity among young people.
In their vote of thanks, all the recipients who spoke one after the other,expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Bauchi Battalion Council for the recognition, and dedicated the award to "God Almighty, Boys' Brigade and all the youth in Bauchi and Nigeria".
They also reaffirmed their dedication to continuous youth development, just as they supported the Brigade financially.
