Bauchi Commissioner of Police charges operatives on mental alertness, fitness

By Rauf Oyewole

The Commissioner of Police in Bauchi State, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu has charged his operatives on mental alertness, fitness and commitment to the service of Nigerian society.

Aliyu commended the operatives attached to the Command for their proactive response to crime and preservation of peace. He said this during the monthly road walk organised for the personnel of the Command to keep them fit in combating crimes in the society.

Addressing over 400 personnel who trooped out to participate, Aliyu said that the rationale behind the royal walk was to achieve unity among the file and ranks of the Command.

“We are doing this every Wednesday and we have a road walk on the first Saturday of every month. I'm particularly glad with their number. You can see the turn out.”

Hundreds of the operatives walked from the Police Headquarters at Yandoka to Gida Mai Roundabout to Adamu Jumba, linking Ahmodu Bello Way to Wunti Market and ended up at the Command Headquarters.
