Northern Group tasks stakeholders on peace, development, prosperity

The National President of the Arewa Peace and Unity, Dr Lawan Yunus Haruna has called on critical stakeholders to give room for grassroots development initiatives across all local government areas in the North and beyond.

Dr Lawan, made this known while addressing media in Bauchi shortly after the organization’s quarterly meeting with stakeholders.

One of the key objectives of this organization as the name implies is ensuring unity, sustainable democracy, peace among citizens.

He noted that peace is a non-negotiable element and is priceless, therefore it’s an important component and organs of national unity, development and sustainable wealth.

Lawan emphasized that it’s imperative for the political class to ensure democracy and prosperity across the grassroots, this would effectively address issues of unemployment, poverty reduction and improving the productivity of youths,our mindsets must be paramount psychologically, clinically and anthropologically.

He calls on the state governors and members of parliaments across all regions of the country to pay much attention in boasting industrialization, agriculture, education, technical and vocational skills with the view to enhanced national productivity, results-oriented capacity building among other notable factors of development and peace.

He called on the National Assembly members, State Houses of Assembly to pass a vibrant legislation that would ensure every politician while serving in public gives his best in terms of employment opportunities, sustainable economic growth and prosperity across the entire Northern regions and beyond.
