Bauchi State Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development, Alhaji Adamu Babayo Gabarin, has been conferred with the traditional title of Cigarin Hausawan Turai.
The title, conferred by the Sarkin Hausawan Turai in Paris, France, Dr Mohammed Sirajo Djankado, was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary of Masarautar Hausawan Turai, Dr Mubarak Mahmud on Monday.
According to him, the title of Cigarin Hausawan Turai as conferred on Adamu Babayo Gabarin was based on his track records in fostering harmonious relationship with Masarautar Hausawan Turai.
The statement urged the titleholder to use wealth of his experience in human relations to contribute towards the development of traditional institutions and uphold its values in Nigeria and diaspora.
The statement congratulated the Cigarin Hausawan Turai, wished him success and Allah's guidance on the new assignment.
Alhaji Adamu Babayo Gabarin, the current Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development in Bauchi state, was recently elected as the North - East representative at the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).
