Bauchi stakeholders begin mobilisation, as women contribute to fund Sen Buba guber ticket

Stakeholders from Bauchi Central Senatorial District have commenced mobilisation of support for the Senator representing Bauchi South, Shehu Buba while women groups have started contributions of funds for the governorship ticket of the lawmaker. 

Although Buba has not publicly expressed his interest to contest the governorship seat, his supporters have been mounting billboards and pasting posters across major roads in the state. 

Speaking at a town hall consultation meeting in Misau on Thursday, the Chairman of Contact and Mobilisation for Buba’s ambition, Alh Muhammadu Abubakar Sade, said that the group is committed the unity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and believe that Buba should be supported to lead the state in 2027.

“Shehu Buba is a uniting factor not only in our party and Bauchi State but in the entire country. We are out to preach the gospel of Buba across the nooks and crannies of our dear state.”

Also speaking, the Women Leader in Darazo, Rashida Abubakar Mohammed, described Buba as a lawmaker who cares for his people. “He has been able to advance his representation beyond his constituency. He has intervened in our affairs and that is why we all resolved in Darazo to start our financial contributions to pay for his governorship ticket.

“We are going to do this, even if it is N50million, we are ready for it. We are women and are ready to support Buba. We are already mobilising for him and he has to heed this call to serve.”

The event was attended by stakeholders from the zone –Misau, Darazo, Dambam, Ningi, Ganjuwa and Warji local government areas.
