The Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State and the party’s Vice Chairman for Bauchi South, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kundak has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his recent education and energy sector initiatives.

Kundak made the commendation in an interview with journalists on behalf of the APC and citizens on Wednesday in Bauchi.

He described them as transformative for the nation and especially impactful for the North.

Kundak lauded the President’s approval of free education for students in 33 Federal Science and Technical Colleges (FSTCs) across the country, set to commence in August 2025.

“The initiative, implemented under the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme, offers free tuition, monthly stipends, meals, accommodation, internationally recognised certifications, and post-graduation support.

“This initiative is highly commendable. It reflects a deliberate and strategic effort to equip young Nigerians with practical, industry-relevant skills, while also removing financial barriers to access.

“We view this as a long-overdue investment in the future of the country,” Kundak stated.

He also praised President Tinubu’s approval for the issuance of all critical licences needed to advance the Kolmani Integrated Development Project, a multibillion-dollar oil exploration initiative situated between Bauchi and Gombe States.

“Mr. President is intentional about transforming our energy landscape into one that fuels industrial growth, creates jobs and enhances national revenue,” he noted.

According to the Chieftain, Bayo Ojulari, Group Chief Executive of NNPCL said the company is resuming drilling activities in Kolmani and other strategic sites, signaling a new phase of energy development in the region.

“These projects will allow previously closed companies to reopen, create new opportunities and increase regional wealth. therefore, we must return and continue this project,” Ojulari said.

Kundak expressed optimism that both initiatives in education and energy would catalyze development, reduce unemployment, and position Nigeria on a stronger economic trajectory.
