The 33 Artillery Brigade Bauchi has commenced the 3 Division Operations Planning Cadre 2025 to enhance their operational planning skills and foster synergy in joint and single-service operations.
The training is designed for junior and middle-level officers drawn from formations and units of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, and other security agencies.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), Maj. Gen. Eyitayo Oyinlola inaugurated Tthe four-day training, held at the 33 Artillery Brigade Officers Mess in Bauchi
GOC, represented by the Commandant of the Nigerian Army Armoured School, Maj. Gen. Abubakar Ahmed emphasised the need for improved inter-agency cooperation and understanding to achieve unity of effort in national security operations.
He stated that the Cadre aims to shape the leadership mindset of junior and mid-level commanders in managing personnel and improving mission effectiveness.
Oyinlola further noted that the initiative is in alignment with the Command Philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, which emphasizes consolidating the transformation of the Nigerian Army into a motivated, combat-ready force capable of fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities within a joint and multi-agency environment.
In a remark, Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, represented by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Hon. Ibrahim Galadima, applauded the decision to host the event in Bauchi.
He reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering support for security agencies, highlighting the ongoing collaboration between the state and the Nigerian Army as a testament to his administration's commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
Highlights of the event included the commissioning of the newly remodeled Quarter Guard by Maj. Gen. Ahmed and the renovated Squash Court by Hon. Galadima.
Both projects were executed under the leadership of the Commander 33 Artillery Brigade, Brig. Gen. Uchechukwu Simon. The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to dignitaries in attendance.
Simon said the planning cadre is expected to deepen the participants’ professional competence and foster stronger inter-agency relations essential for maintaining peace and national security.
