People of Bauchi South Senatorial District, under the auspices of Bauchi Elders and Youths and Women Development Association (BEYWDA) have expressed their satisfaction and gratitude to their Senator, Shehu Buba Umar for his representation.
Leader of the group, Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani Mohammed on Sunday said this while speaking with journalists in Bauchi. He said that for the past one year and seven months at the Senate, Shehu Buba had been busy with activities that directly impacted Nigerians and constituents generally.
According to Mohammed, Buba has sponsored many bills at different stages of legislation at the National Assembly; many constituency projects were captured in the 2024 and 2025 budget.
“He has moved many motions and executed many constituency projects, including distribution of electricity transformers, sinking of boreholes and construction of road networks, distribution of solar light within Bauchi South Senatorial District,” he said.
He said that numerous people have benefited from the Senator’s empowerment programmes, training and equipping people with start-up for self-reliance. He said that thousands of people have received food items across the 20 local government areas of the State.
Tijjani flanked by hundreds of supporters from the 20 local government areas assured that Shehu Buba would not rest or be distracted from his statutory responsibilities.
Also, the Women Coordinator of the group, Hajiya Rabi Muhammad said many youth and women have been trained and equipped in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), while some were trained on how to make handbags, shoe and miscellaneous items appreciated Senator Shehu for teaching them how to be self-reliance.
Youth leader of the Group, Abubakar Sadiq Ahmad commended Senator Shehu for his outstanding leadership and commitment to providing dividends of democracy to his constituents. Sadiq described Buba as an exemplary leader, a great lawmaker, and the most outstanding first-term Senator.
“We praise Senator Shehu for his selfless service, integrity, and passion for development. He is indeed a shining example of a true leader, cultivating the potential of tomorrow’s leaders and enhancing community well-being.
“His dedication to the welfare of his constituents is unparalleled, and his commitment to sustainable development is inspiring. Senator Shehu's leadership has brought hope and opportunities to the people of Bauchi South Senatorial District,” he said.
