By Suzan Edeh

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) and through a pro-Tinubu group, Lobito Group for Asiwaju has distributed essential instructional materials to 96,000 students across 20 local government areas.

The leader of the Group, Usman Yau Darazo, at the commencement of the distribution over the weekend said that the gesture was to enhance education of underprivileged children. According to him, the initiative was inline with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's renewed hope agenda to ensure Nigeria children acquire quality education.

"This partnership aims to curb school dropouts and promote learning among disadvantaged children. These items will directly benefit 96,000 pupils and students in junior and secondary schools across the state,” he said.

He said the distributed materials include exercise books, school bags, whiteboards, school shoes, textbooks, mathematical sets and calculators among others.

Yau added that the materials would reinforce key concepts, promote retention through repetition, and cater to diverse learning styles.

“By providing these resources, NEDC and Lobito Group are investing in the education and future of Bauchi State's children,” he said.

Alhaji Mustapha Zarami, APC State Secretary, commended NEDC and Lobito Group for their commendable efforts. "This partnership has previously supported farmers and vulnerable individuals and is now extending support to school children."
