Bauchi CAN Chairman charges youths to eschew negative vices

Christian Youths in Bauchi state have been urged to eschew vices that will ridicule the Holy name of the Church as established by Jesus Christ. 

They were rather told to imbibe the culture of holiness, honesty, faithfulness and exhibit Christ-like character that will stand them out as responsible citizens. 

The call was made by the Chairman, Bauchi State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev Dr Abraham Damina Dimeus while speaking at the maiden Bible quiz competition organised by the United Christian Youth Progressive Forum (UCYPF). 

He also admonished the youths to join heads and hands together not minding barriers to existence to be agents of light to the society.

The CAN Chairman expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the programme, UCYPF which he said was the begining of such as it is going to be an annual event with the promise of full support by the CAN to make it better next time.

The programme which was aimed at uniting the Christian youths and inculcating good moral among them was the first time such was organized for development and growth of the Church. 

The programme was said to be successful with 3 out of the 6 blocks in the CAN (PFN, CCN AND OAIC) participated in the competition which also served as bridge building among the youths.

At the end, the OAIC emerged as the 1st position seconded by CCN while PFN came third.

The President of UCYPF, Edward Joniga called on his fellow youths to be ready to sacrifice all they have for the service of God Almighty. 

Goodwill messages were said by invited Guests including the Executive Secretary of the Christian Pilgrims Board and others.

Gifts were later presented to all partispants while special prayers were said for all Christian Youths.
