All Bauchi state contingents at the ongoing 8th National Youth Games Zonal Sports in Taraba 2024 have passed through to compete in all the eight team events to be played in the competition.
This was disclosed by the Bauchi state Director of Sports, Usman Yusuf while briefing the journalist shortly after the screening exercise was conducted.
Usman said that Bauchi state has the highest number of contingents that would partake in the competition.
He also said that Bauchi state has already got automatic tickets qualifications in three team events to represent the North East in the next coming National Youth Games in Delta state which include Volleyball male and female, Cricket and Rugby male and female.
The director described the effort as a wish of the Bauchi state Commissioner of Youth and Sport, Salis Gamawa, to bring about changes in the development of sports in Bauchi.
He therefore explained that in addition, all the 222 contingents have collected their allowances before leaving for Taraba in order to boost their morale.
In his part the North East Zonal Coordinator of the Youth Games, Musa Garba charged all the players and the technical to conduct themselves and use the atmosphere for a better representation of their states.
