A group, Northern Initiative for Growth, one of the leading organisers of the planned nationwide protest against bad governance tagged: #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria has announced that it has suspended all action on the plan.
Addressing journalists on Sunday, Alkasim Nuhu Abdulkadir, National Coordinator, Northern Initiative for Growth declared that, "After careful consideration and consultation with stakeholders and various organs of the Union, we have decided to suspend the protest in the interim."
Abdulkadir added that the decision was not taken lightly, but they believe it is in the best interest of the nation.
"We also appreciate the support of individuals and groups who have stood with us in this cause. Your commitment to a better Nigeria is inspiring, and we are grateful for your solidarity.
"Furthermore, we commend the intervention of scholars who have provided valuable insights and guidance throughout this process. Their expertise has been invaluable in shaping our demands and strategy.
"We now call on all Nigerian youth to comply with the directives of the National Body of the Northern Initiative for Growth. Let us work together to build a better future for ourselves and generations to come," he added
