Army fetes injured soldiers, commends troops’ doggedness

The Nigerian Army has celebrated some of its troops who sustained severe injuries in the line of duties and commended the doggedness of troops in defending the sovereignty of the country.

During a special luncheon held at the 33 Artillery Brigade Shadawanka Barrack Bauchi, the Commander, Brigadier General Emmanuel Egbe offered financial assistance to some injured soldiers.

He said the Nigerian Army is proud of its troops and would not neglect them while advising the troops of the Brigade to remain professional and committed in their service to the nation.

Egbe said that the event was organised as a mark of honour to the troops for their unwavering commitment and professionalism displayed when the Brigade hosted and won the championship of the 3 Division’s Warrant Officers and Senior Non-commissioned Officers Inter-Brigade Competition 2024.

Also, the successful participation of the Brigade in the year 2024 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) which took place in Jos, provision of security to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja when he visited Bauchi among other successful events and achievements.
