Vice President Kashim Shettima has described former Vice President and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar as beneficiary of President Bola Tinubu's political goodwill.
Shettima said that Tinubu's Bourdilon home became a veritable sanctuary for victims of political witch-hunt like Atiku when he was allegedly harassed, intimidated, dehumanised and chased out of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
He added that the current National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu is among the beneficiaries of Tinubu's political goodwill.
He stated this yesterday, during the commissioning of projects, including the 9.2 kilometres Omisanjana/Deeper Life/Ajebamidele Road, the Adire hub at Ado-Iworoko, and the official inspection of the Third Expanded National MSME Clinic Ekiti 2024.
He said: "When many of his contemporaries were struggling to have a seat on the dinner table in Abuja, he was sacrificing his resources, goodwill and energy toward the enthronement of democracy in this country.
"He has been a very veritable sanctuary for victims of political witch-hunt. When Atiku Abubakar was harassed, intimidated, dehumanised and chased out of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), it was the Bourdilion he ran to for support and it was there he got the needed support and he contested for the Presidency of this country.
"Four years later, the same Asiwaju supported another Nigerian to contest for the Presidency of this nation. He is the current National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
"The road that led us to Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu did not happen by chance. This is a man who has shown profound commitment to improving the quality of governance in this nation.”
