Azama TV has marked its first anniversary, celebrating one year of satellite broadcasting since its establishment on September 25, 2025.
Speaking at the anniversary ceremony held at the Ahmadu Bello International conference center in Bauchi, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Azama TV, Alhaji Danlami Kawule, said putting the station on satellite was not an easy task but it has grown from strength to strength.
"To have Azama TV on satellite wasn't an easy task, but we are happy that today we are here to celebrate success with our stakeholders, our audiences and partners," he said.
Kawule expressed gratitude to broadcast veteran, Alhaji Halilu Ahmed Getso, for his immense contributions to journalism, and commended partners and advertisers for their patronage, assuring them of better service delivery.
He said the station has been monitoring audience feedback, adding that its programmes, including Wildlife, Barka da Safiya and news bulletins, have gained wide acceptance, particularly among women who also show preference for entertainment content.
In his remarks, Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, commended the management of Azama TV for providing content that aligns with the yearnings and aspirations of the people of Bauchi State.
The Governor, who congratulated the station on its milestone, urged the management to strictly adhere to the ethics of journalism, noting that television remains a vital channel for educating, informing and entertaining society.
