The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially unveiled 31 candidates to contest for seats in the Bauchi State House of Assembly during the 2027 general elections.
The candidates emerged victorious during the party's House of Assembly primary elections conducted across the state's constituencies ahead of the forthcoming polls.
Announcing the results on Saturday, the chairman of the APC Governorship and House of Assembly Primaries Committee for Bauchi State, Assistant Inspector General of Police, John Bassey Abang (retired), said the primaries were held on May 21 across the state.
He announced that in the Pali constituency, Hon. Aminu Garba secured victory with 3,566 votes, defeating Mohammed Umar Faruq, who polled 864 votes; Shayibu Abdullahi with 1,009 votes; and Rashida, who scored 600 votes.
According to him, in the Duguri/Gwana constituency, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Gwana emerged winner with 901 votes, while Danladi Garba scored 388 votes, Mustafa Ibrahim Dimis polled 210 votes, and Ibrahim Bala Hassan secured 414 votes.
For the Bauchi Central constituency, Haris Aliyu Hardo won the APC ticket with 5,430 votes. Other contestants included Zainab Baban Tanko with 710 votes, Suleman Lalaye with 802 votes, Bashir Yusuf Babal with 483 votes, Abdulrahman Abubakar with 523 votes, and Sunusi Mohammed, who garnered 2,269 votes.
Other winners announced by the committee chairman include Abdulhamid Rufai for Zungur/Galambi/Miri constituency; Hon. Bulus Iliya Buli for Bogoro constituency; Hon. Babale Abubakar for Dambam constituency; Hon. Sa’idu Sulaiman for Darazo Central constituency; and Hon. Lawan Dauda for Sade constituency.
Also elected were Dr. Nuhu Ibrahim Alabura for Dass constituency; Sani Alhaji Maina for Gamawa constituency; Hon. Ahmed A. Lele Chirona for Udubo constituency; Zulkifilu Dahiru Kafi for Ganjuwa West constituency; Ibrahim A. Adamu for Ganjuwa East constituency; Hon. Dan Umma Bello for Giade constituency; Adamu Idris Ibrahim for Itas/Gadau constituency; Hon. Mubarak Haruna Mairakumi for Jama’are constituency; and Hon. Zakariya Sale Maigero for Azare/Madangala constituency.
Others include Usman Abdullahi Ganaru for Chinade/Madara constituency; Bilyaminu Abdullahi Kirfi for Kirfi constituency; Abba Garo Basko for Chiroma constituency; Yaro Gwaram for Hardawa constituency; Abdulmumini Hassan for Ningi Central constituency; Musa Jibrin Kwangi for Burra/Kyata constituency; Isah Abubakar Nakamu for Shira constituency; Yakubu Ali for Disina constituency; and Hon. Abdulrashid Adamu Mu’azu for Lere/Bula constituency.
The committee also announced Faruk Sale Toro as the APC candidate for Toro/Jama’a constituency, Hon. Bala Abdu Rishi for Lame constituency, Hon. Yunusa Ahmed for Warji constituency, Hon. Muktar Suleman for Katagum constituency, and Hon. Garba Musa Kore for Sakwa constituency.
