PDP Denies Meeting With ADC, Labels Reports Misleading

By Khalid Idris Doya

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed reports suggesting it held a meeting with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the claims as misleading and unfounded.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the national publicity secretary, Hon. Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, the party categorically denied holding any formal or informal engagement with the ADC or its representatives.

According to him, no such meeting was convened or authorised by the party, stressing that any individuals reported to have participated in such engagements acted strictly in their personal capacities and do not represent the PDP.

The party, therefore, urged its members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the claims, noting that they do not reflect its official position or activities.

Mohammed further disclosed that preparations for the party's primaries are at an advanced stage, with timelines and guidelines to be communicated in due course.

He reaffirmed the PDP's commitment to its internal processes and its resolve to provide credible leadership and direction for Nigerians.
