Nigerians Urged to Support Tinubu’s Reforms as Ayo Da Silva Joins APC

Nigerians have been called upon to remain patient and resilient in the face of ongoing economic and political reforms, with assurances that the country is on a path to recovery and prosperity under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, PBAT

The call was made by former House of Representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ayo Da Silva, during his official defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.

Speaking at the well-attended event, Hon Da Silva emphasised that while the current reforms introduced by President Tinubu may appear challenging, they are necessary steps toward rebuilding the nation’s economy.

According to him, “there is light at the end of the tunnel,” urging citizens not to lose faith but to persevere in anticipation of better days ahead.

He further stressed the importance of continuity in governance, calling on Nigerians to support the re-election of President Tinubu for a second term.

Hon Da Silva noted that the President’s policies are designed to reposition the country for sustainable growth and development, adding that consistent leadership is crucial to achieving long-term national objectives.

“I am standing firmly on the mandate and vision of PBAT for the betterment of all Nigerians,” he stated, reaffirming his commitment to the ruling party and its agenda.

The event also witnessed the formal reception of Hon Ayo Da Silva and his supporters into the APC fold by the Lagos State Secretary of the Party, Hon Adeola Jokomba who represented the GAC leader of Amuwo Odofin, distinguished Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and the Chairman of the party, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.

In a symbolic gesture, Hon Jokomba presented the party’s broom and flag to the new entrants, signifying their full integration into the progressive family.

Hon Adeola Jokomba commended Hon Da Silva’s decision to join the APC, describing it as a move driven by patriotism and a shared vision for national progress.

He assured the new members of equal opportunities within the party and encouraged them to contribute actively to its growth and success in Lagos State and beyond.

Political observers note that Hon Da Silva’s defection could further strengthen the APC’s grassroots presence in Amuwo Odofin, a key area in Lagos politics.

The development is also seen as part of a broader trend of political realignments ahead of future electoral cycles.

As Nigeria continues to navigate its reform-driven journey, leaders across party lines are increasingly calling for unity, patience and collective effort to secure a more prosperous future for the nation.
