Christian youths urge PDP to zone governorship ticket to Bauchi North

A political pressure group under the auspices of Christian Youths in Politics Bauchi State chapter has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to zone its governorship ticket to Northern part of the state in the interest of fairness and unity of the party.

Chairman of the group, Comrade Jondes James, who made the plea Wednesday in Bauchi during a press conference to endorse the State Commissioner for Rural Development and Special Duties Hon Farouk Mustapha as their preferred governorship candidate come 2027 in Bauchi State.

James explained that since the return of democracy in 1999 all the elected governors including Ahmed Muazu, Isah Yuguda, Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar and current governor Bala Mohammed all came Bauchi South and there is need for the party to give other competent candidate from Northern part of the State a chance to govern the state.

James also appeals to Governor Bala Mohammed and leadership of the PDP in Bauchi State to consider zoning the PDP governorship ticket Bauchi North Senatorial zone and yield to their clarion call on Hon Farouk Mustapha as the befitting candidate in the spirit of equity, fairness and justice.
