The Wikki Tourists Supporters Club has expressed pride over the outstanding performance of Wikki Tourists Football Club (FC) of Bauchi, who finished at the top of the Conference ‘E’ table in the 2025 Nigerian National League (NNL) Northern Conference.
Mr Abdulrahman Barau, Chairman of the Supporters Club made the commendation at a news conference on Friday in Bauchi, describing as the most successful NNL competition in recent years.
“The Northern Conference concluded on the 18th and 19th of May 2025, producing moments of joy for well-performing clubs and heartbreak for the less fortunate.
“Wikki Tourists stood out with exceptional results, strong administrative coordination, brilliant technical input, and remarkable dedication from the players.
Barau congratulated the players and technical crew for their resilience and commitment throughout the campaign.
He also extended warm appreciation to the club’s Chairman and Board members for their tireless efforts in steering the club towards success.
Special commendation was given to the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry of Youths and Sports for providing the enabling environment for sports to thrive in Bauchi State.
“As the club now advances to the final phase of the league, the Super 8 competition ,we are appealing passionately to the state government and well-meaning stakeholders to sustain their backing.
According to Barau, continued financial support and motivation will boost the morale of the players and technical crew, ensuring that Wikki Tourists FC lift the NNL trophy and secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier League, where the club truly belongs.
Our correspondents report that in the Super 8, Wikki Tourists will battle Doma FC of Gombe, Yobe Desert Stars of Damaturu, and Barau FC of Kano.
